Myanmar-China Crude Oil Pipeline (Myanmar Section) Starting-up Oil Transportation
On 2nd May, 2017 (10:10 AM), by the order from Mandalay control center of Myanmar-China Oil and Gas pipeline, opens Made Island station valve and starts operation of Oil boost pump and the main pump. Then, the crude oil from oil storage tank flows with 1150 cubic meters rate into the oil pipeline.
The agreement of Myanmar-China Oil and Gas transmission pipeline has been signed officially in the presence of the countries’ leaders on 10th April of 2017. On that day, the crude oil that bring international market was successfully downloaded at Made Island harbor.
Made Island harbor is the first international major oil port in Myanmar. According to the agreement, Myanmar-China Oil pipeline can be downloaded 20 million tons of crude oil every year. Therefore, we believe that it can support the economic development of Myanmar.
